FAQ

How much sample do I need to submit?

We request at least 250 mL of all samples.

What type of sample containers do you recommend?

Samples can be shipped in any container, including corked or stoppered glass bottles. However, we recommend using 250 mL high density polyethylene small-mouth bottles. We source these from Cymar Inc. in Illinois. You can order from them online, their service is fast and reliable and their prices are very good. A link to Cynar’s website is provided in the Useful Links section of our website. It is usually beneficial to seal the screw cap with electrical tape to prevent leakage during shipping.

How should I ship my samples?

Samples can be sent by express carrier, e.g., UPS, FEDEX, etc., or by USPS. We recommend UPS since there is a distribution center in Adrian and they make several deliveries to our location area per day. We recommend against shipping samples on Fridays, especially in warm weather, since it is likely the samples will sit in the closed truck over the weekend.
